2011 - We are delighted to be supporting the DeafParenting awards which will be taking place in October in London. Deaf Parenting UK will be celebrating their 10 year anniversary with a fantastic Award event honoring the positive contributions of Deaf parents, parents to be and those professionals who work with Deaf parents.

Deaf Parenting UK is the first ever charity and small unique national organization run by Deaf parents for Deaf parents, representing the needs of Deaf parents in the UK, of whom are sign language users and are 90% likely to have hearing children. It was set up as a project in 2001 by Sabina Iqbal and the project became an independent organization in 2004. Sabina won Working Parent of the Year at the national annual mumandworking awards.
